--Dang, this isn't as Stabbing Westward-y as I was hoping it would be. The first song definitely.--

My thoughts exactly. If Walter Flakus didn't come in until 2014 then he might not have had as much influence on this album as he can have on whatever comes next.

--Awesome review, sounds like I need to check both Stabbing Westward and The Dreaming.--

Start with Darkest Days from Stabbing Westward.

--dude I am loving the hell out of this. Great review. My favourite reviewer on this site--

Thanks! Glad you're liking it. It's definitely a great release. Just not the album I heard in my head while reading the press release.

--By the way Willie, I'm surprised that you haven't reviewed or rated the new Rabbit Junk EP.--

I haven't rated it? I was a little late buying it which is the only reason I didn't write anything for it. I like it, but I like the previous EP more.

Puppet was a very well done album.

Puppet, Every Trace, There Will Be Blood, End In Tears, Stitches, It's No Good, Hole, Solo Crucifixion were all pretty great.

I wish there had been twelve tracks on Rise Again.

Seems like the older crew is all here! Been awhile since I listened to anything like this, guys voice is still pretty great.

I've just relistened to Darkest Days and Wither, Blister, Burn + Peel, and the very underrated self-titled and well, it hurts.

I've reread some stuff about the story of the Stabbing Westward how they were dropped by Colombia after making their best album (Darkest Days) and then forced to make the Self-titled ultra radio friendly (a musician exterior to the band rewrote new guitar parts) when they actually meant it as industrial as any other of their albums and then how their musicians were scattered on other projects to help etc... to sum up, how the band was destroyed by record companies. The song Rise Again becomes somewhat moving.
