To be perfectly honest I think that Black Widow was over processed, the lyrics were better and it was not as clunky as Blood, do not get me wrong, Blood was pretty underrated, but something what Blood held musically I believe was better, I also felt that although the hits were stronger it did not hold as well an album as Black Widow. All in all I look forward to their next album, I would suggest Blood to someone looking into the band due to its accessibility but only the hits (and a few tracks like Scarlet), but although Black Widow was better it still fell a bit short of the mark.
As for the individual songs, I almost never listen to last two tracks and Sick Like
Me started off good but then I got bored with it, overuse of the chorus mainly, Big Bad Wolf was amazing, Sex Metal Barbie blended the aggressive, softer and synthed up edges to Maria's voice quite well, Bloody Creature Poster Girl was good, Dirty Pretty good, I personally enjoyed Natural Born Sinner the most. As always though I am shocked Maria has not announced Manson as one of her influences, if you do not understand what I mean listen to Anti-Christ Superstar (The full album) and Holy Wood (The full album).
Anyway, weird disconnected thoughts for the day done.
