"I'm gonna steal it"

"What?"

"I'm gonna steal the lost Rishloo recordings"

They released a demo of Dead Rope Machine with David on vocals as The Ghost Apparatus, as well as a slightly different version of Winslow as an instrumental, so I'm not sure whether there are any songs that were scrapped upon Drew's return.

Great review! This album is a hidden gem.

I gotta say I've always loved Just a Ride as the closer. That song is just super emotional, especially the last minute or so, and it has always felt like the right way to close the album!

A good bump and a good rating.

That song feels like a direct reference to the band's existence (the departures, drama, etc.) and how they've gotten through to reach this point. One of their best in a lyrical sense.

For my tastes, and for the consideration that my scale goes with 5 as "a classic that also changed my music taste irreparably" and 4.5 is everyone else's 5 . . .

No, plenty of 4s but not 4.5

I gave 4.5 to Tigran Hamasyan's Mockroot in 2015, that's actually the last one

The album is brilliant but the production takes it down. I know they are independent and doing the best they can but still the fact remains.

I really dont think like the production harms this album. Considering how earlier albums sounded like (i.e. Eidolon), I do believe that this and Feathergun are excellent production wise.
