I know it might sound a bit passive-aggressive, but what's so great about it? Each time I read a decade list with Spiderland on it the description is always some mumbo jumbo about how the guys are half crazy and all and it's amazing and shit. I just never understood the appeal. Care to enlighten me man?

It has a pretty chilling, raw mood to it. It's a pretty cool album and most people like it. Many, many a lot more than me, but it appeals to lots of people on here.

I've never given Spiderland a proper headphone listen but I've jammed it casually through laptop speakers and it never seems interesting to me... not only that, but a bit of it's really annoying. The vocals in particular don't sit well with me. Talk Talk >>> any day and I'm not even crazy for them either.
