Okay, I gotta listen to some of them first. Believe it or not, I am yet to hear an album by Coheed and Cambria.

:O :O

As well as being the polar opposite of this album, Coheed are probs either hard 5 or hard 1 territory for you

Because his voice is squeaky and they play concept prog that sounds like pop punk, which covers a pretty wide range of understandable reasons for people to hate on principle lmao. Beyond that, they're dope ;]

CaC are some of the biggest prog metal cringelords out there. They only get beaten by greats like the libertarian 'Threshold'.

Nah, I can tell you without listening that they aren't as bad as Rush. That thing's cringe factor is off the fucking charts.

But I'll listen and decide for myself if they are enjoyable, thank you :}

Lmao I'm not wild about Threshold but didn't realise they were such an anathema

Coheed are catchy enough to be allowed to be cringe, plus the storyline is so ridiculous that it vaguely feels like they're on your side; it feels appropriately ridiculous. Whenever I go through a Rush concept it seems as though it's supposed to be taken 100% seriously and that ruins things somewhat

why t heck are you talking about coheed on a bark thread. coheed has very low power level compared to this band who's levels are off the charts.

btw if you dig this and haven't checked dustsucker, make it a priority.

Coheed's power level is cosmic but yes, this is not a direction I ever thought this thread would take. Gonna check Dustsucker soon ;]
