Cheers wiz, TTND was one of the first metal albums I remember getting from this site so I wanted to give them a good review. Glad you enjoyed it too cap'n

Personally, everything they've done minus the blunder of Redemption at the Puritan's Hand I would consider essential metal listening.

I can definitely see that. Every time I look at the Primordial page I'm surprised at the 3.7 for Storm Before Calm, that's one of my favourites and it's too often overlooked because of its relatively low rating.

As someone who hasn't seen interstellar, is it worth checking out your dig anyway? Cant tell if it's high average is affected by the movie hype

Not bad on first listen. The Alchemist's Head sounds pretty sick.

The soundtrack is unbelievable and different than anything Hans Zimmer has done before. I've never been a huge Zimmer fan in the past but his subtle piano pieces that build into epic orchestrations will bring a tear to your eye.

Picked up the album today and jamming it right now, I like the sense of minimalism and grandeur it transmits.

"Born To Night" hints at Thin Lizzy and Skyclad, awesome track.

This site is going down the toilet. All the great reviews posted this year have been from users.

Staff guys write one-paragraph "reviews" and give 4.5s to Taylor Swift's albums. Is this supposed to be a music site or what?

50% of the staff are worthy of their positions. Someone should do a list and we can vote.

yeah but on the other hand if that were to happen, then lots of the decisions will be based on favouritisms and poor writing eyes which will all be overruled anyway

Sorry we're too busy to review, what with drowning in ambrosia and basking in the glory of being gods among men.

Last time I checked, you're not one of them anymore Emeritus ; ).

People are saying that the production on this is great, but the copy I have sounds like it was ripped off a 96khz mp3. The volume is super low, it's scratchy throughout and has no punch. Do I have a bunk copy or is this how the record is supposed to sound?
