I was so disappointed with Black Ice at first listen and haven't dared to try it again tbh. It sounded so bland and dull... Will refresh and hopefully change my impression and give it another spin soon though.

ehhh, i don't think it will move mountains for you dude
with that, Touch Too Much still remains my all time favorite song of theirs

First time getting around this, not bad.
Definitely liked Black Ice a little more, but this ain't too far behind..samey okay range.. more ac/dc by the number.. shame I couldn't catch the tour for old times sake. Honestly, I don't really listen to em' much past razors edge

Yeah it's not bad at all and the short run time really helps. Black Ice is probably my least favorite of theirs but tbh I haven't given it many chances due to its duration. Need to change that.

Emission Control is a jam. There's a pleasant energy in this one, shame for the squared drumming

if GNR are the Nickelback of the 80s, these guys are easily the Nickelback of the 70s.

Except their 70s stuff is fronted by an actual rocker instead of the Kroeger guy
|
| |
they're all generic buttrock with annoying singers.
|
| |
yeah but neither ac/dc nor guns n roses were generic at the time that they were creating their most popular records. nickelback is a different story. but i can see how a kid might not be able to contextualize that.
|
| |
"a kid" lol
idgaf how original they were for their time. original doesn't equal good.

Bon is legend, among the best frontmen of all time. To compare him with a guy like Kroeger or the band as a whole with Nickelback is just insane.
|
| |
Or a bit of both...
|
| |
lmao

I'm not the one getting triggered over some random person on the internet's dissenting opinion about a grandpa rock group my dude
