"AC/DC live and breathe rock and roll. If AC/DC and Kiss didn't exist, rock simply wouldn't be here.
Also, Gene Simmons is God."
Rock existed way before AC/DC and Kiss.
|
| |
I'm pretty certain Kiss created rock.
|
| |
Gene Simmon's tongue created the concept of art.
|
| |
Music From The Elder is probably the greatest concept album of all time.
|
| |
Highway to Hell>Back in Black tbh
|
| |
probably the worst band ever

Didn't know there was a stream for this one. Was thinking to write something but you did a good job so I won't bother, pos.
Despite their last billion albums, the band rules and their 70s output is nothing short of legendary.
|
| |
Agreed hard.
Definitley look like a bunch of nonces though.
Watch this space.

'It's just safe and plodding - makes you feel sorry for these guys who must have nothing else to do'
They will sell more units than the Foo Fighters new one and will have a sold out massive world tour. I certainly don't feel sorry for them.
Love the band btw....

Sadly the reviwer lz41 appears to have limited knowledge about AC/DC.
And takes the opportunity to make this review a bashing of one of the world's without question greatest rock bands.
Some quotes from the review, which obviously goes on to attack the band and tries to make fun of them more than assess their new album:
lz41: While Johnson lacks Scott’s range...
Well, as good as Bon Scott was (a true rock legend with great lyrics and on-stage presence), Brian Johnson is technically a more proficient singer with an amazing vocal range. In other words, Johnson does not lack Bon Scott's range.
lz41: Johnson’s aggressive sexism on ‘Givin’ The Dog A Bone’ and ‘Let Me Put My Love Into You’...
Well, to make an argument from a feminist perspective about AC/DC songs and sexism is about as effective as accusing the Pope of being religious.
Hold on, it becomes worse:
lz41: The Youngs’ decision to disregard the importance of producer ‘Mutt’ Lange by self-producing For Those About To Rock, Fly On The Wall and Flick Of The Switch was just foolhardy...
If you had better knowledge about this band, you would very well know that For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) was in fact produced by Mutt Lange.
And then personal attacks on the band members:
lz41: You have to wonder what the Youngs would do without the band. It’s been their life for forty years. Do they have anything else? They don’t strike you as the types of guys who could retire and play Thursday afternoon bingo.
Well, not such a successful attempt at being funny. What should be more appreciated about the Young brothers is is that they take their mission very seriously and do their best to continue to make good songs and albums for their fans. They did not just cash in from a very successful career even if they could. They have a passion in what they do and still believe they got something to prove, irrespective of their age. And that is worthy of respect, not something bad.
lz41: Steven Young, despite his best efforts, can’t replace Malcolm’s gritty rhythm playing.
His name is Stevie Young....As good as Malcom is. Why can't he replace Malcolm on this album? His sound is actually more gritty than Mal's was on Black Ice. The reviewer is just throwing out statements while busy bashing the band without backing them up by reliable evidence.
