New album isn't better than this, but it's really great yeah. It's a more subdued and introspective sound for him overall and he pulls it off nicely. It reels back on the eccentricities a bit, but it results in something really cohesive. Some of the sweetest melodies of the year such as Feels Like Heaven. It's been a big grower.
