Surprised it took this long for someone to review this. Solid one, though. Pos.

Each side should consist of only one big song, there was no need to split them into small separate tracks. It's kind of

annoying to have those two-minute songs, makes the whole thing feel less cohesive, even though it doesn't properly affect

the music

I think they should make each Side one song, making 4 tracks approaching the 10-minute length. But maybe, because of no lyrics, Gilmour wanted some words accompanying the music, so he decided to put them as titles. Music is great, I think I'm going to like it more than TDB.

really feels like an odds and ends bunch of demos/ideas, with presentable nice sounding production. not sure why they went ahead with the release.

talking big names of 70s rock, Bowie's comeback album from last year was much much stronger.

The Division Bell is still much stronger than this for me, but I'm not really underwhelmed, it sounds pretty much like I thought it would

I didn't know what to expect. I was afraid it would be radio-friendly ''A Momentary Lapse of Reason''/''The

Division Bell'' - esque kind of songs, but its ambient style and sound that reminds of previews works,

create a nice closure, better I dare say than their last effort. Simply, I'd rather listen to it,than not.

Also, Nervana is really nice. Has a light stoner-rock vibe.

Damn this surprised me, some awesome stuff in here. Skins is by far my favorite, sounds like a Pink Floyd drum-line.

Release David Gilmour solo album (which it might as well be) and say its Pink Floyd - x20 the sales - job done Dave.

There are parts of It's What We Do that sound strikingly similar to Welcome To The Machine.
