"Link? Or is it in the paper issue of the mag?"

I saw it in the paper issue so I don't have a link.

" Pearls Before the Swine is the song everyone overlooks on UtL. It's really one of their best."

My fave from UTL along with 'This is the end' and 'Darkness within'

I like B&D more after a few spins today. I have a feeling this will become my favourite album from the band since TTAOE, maybe since TBR.

Beneath the Slit

Why didn't they just title that one "Asshole"?

Haha we'll see how long that lasts. Also wow Guardian and Kerrang each gave this a 5/5.

The first half is a strong 4 but after damage inside it goes down to 3 or 2.5 very quickly. Damage inside is painful in itself

I've only listened to the first half so far and it's a very pleasant surprise, I'd say it's around a 3.7 for me right now. But I'm guessing it's going to dip in quality pretty soon, it's already losing steam.

This, although I really like 'Game Over' too

U're right. Then there still are 3 bad songs, but maybe i will bump it up to a 4 after more listens.

I loved UtL and The Blackening is overwhelming as a whole for me. This is turning out as a strong 3.5.

Unto The Locust started strong but crashed and burned with the last two songs. Agreed about The Blackening being overwhelming, though it's still their best.

Not that I would consider Kerrang (or AllMusic, for that matter) as having any authority on metal.

I guess not, though I remember enjoying reading them more than most heavy metal-themed mags. But it's certainly surprising about The Guardian.

One of the more than welcoming surprises is Sail Into The Black. Has to be one of the most different things they've done.

Sail into the black is my favorite so far, it's probably their best attempt at being dark and serious

Indeed. Up till Beneath the Slit it's a weak 4, with two weak songs, the aforementioned and Night Of Long Nights (these are I don't like personally). The openers and Sail into the Black steal the show.
