You can hear some resemblances with Ruination, and especially Demonocracy. Though the slowed down tempos, incredible basslines, and abundance of memorable and creative songwriting on here blows all their other stuff out of the water, and was definitely unexpected, even if they always had the potential and the talent to be this great.
