Sun of Nihility is a fuckin BOPPER. Having somehow avoided this album until right now, I’ve gotta say holy SHIT.

Very sad that they haven't put out more shit like this since. They really turned over a new leaf here.

This is way better than their last two albums. And damn me if its been said already, but lord that bass is tasty.

The rhythm section on this whole album is so fucking tasty. They really became a band worth repeated listens with this. Jonny Davy was almost always a great vocalist but here he had the songs behind him to go with it. I loved the slower, groovier, prog approach to this.

I almost don't want a follow up to this tbh, this feels like lightning in a bottle.

But what if it WASN'T and they can repeat it, maybe even PERFECT it? Maybe that's too optimistic on my part.

Damn they got Navene Koperweis to play the drums for the new album. That should be interesting.

How does it take you six years to write a follow up?
|

Album Rating: 4.0
lol Because being in a band probably isn't their day job, and also life just gets in the way. Also six years is FAR from the longest hiatus I've heard of for a group.

Longest hiatus I've heard of is 44 years. 6 don't seem so bad by comparison

Wait so there IS a new album coming??
