Why would Red ever be seen as her best? Wasn't as consistent as Speak Now, didn't dominate the radio like Fearless, generally kind of sucked...

still don't get the fascination with her

Maybe she should look for more than just looks.
and maybe you should attempt not being a cockwad and not judging her as a person based solely off her romantic experiences

I really didn't know sput had such an anti-Red stance on things, but I think there's a case to be made for the album even if
you didn't like it. It's her highest charting album (although it'll be topped by this one) and has a number one single
(Fearless does not). The singles were definitely played on the radio a ton. It's her most diverse album, was critically
acclaimed, and has gotten a lot of love in hindsight from P4K and that whole wave of music sites. It's obviously a
subjective choice, and we won't know until later...I was just trying to place the album within the context of her
discography

Doesn't matter if they hit #1, Fearless had 5 big singles when Taylor Swift wasn't necessarily a name-
brand commodity on pop radio. And You Belong With Me went #2 so apples and oranges.
Oh and for the record she was one of the first artists signed by Big Machine and I'm fairly sure
Taylor Swift was the first album they ever released so she made that label a powerhouse- don't
act like it was a hits factory back in 06 when it was founded in 05

It doesn't matter that it's her highest charting album, I was just refuting the weird argument of "It didn't dominate the radio"

You're totally right about the Big Machine thing, I knew it was a smaller label when she signed there and the wording is misleading, I'll change it.

"and maybe you should attempt not being a cockwad and not judging her as a person based solely off her
romantic experiences"
I'm judging her relationships because she is forcing me to focus on them with nearly every song she writes.
She's had like six two month relationships so I would be willing to bet that she's the problem.

But, like, Red didn't dominate the radio, at least not in the same way. Fearless (song) was released
as a single 15 months AFTER the album came out and it still hit the Top 10. Red had its moment but
songs from Fearless were in high rotation for around 18 months.
