It's a pretty swell idea for ambient tbqh even if he does overuse the crap out of it. Works on Loops and his most recent album(s).

Transcendent stuff right here. Quit bitching about it and dwell on it.

the subtext when i listen to this makes me cry so much, about life, but also about my fallen brethren in the heinous attacks of 9/11.
a truly moving artistic statement.

disassociation // klonopin // Benjamin's state of emergency intersecting with collapse and loss of aura just imo!!!

I was unaware of the 9/11 "subtext" till I looked further into the back story of the albums while listening to the second Disintegration album. I only searched up William Basinski's name having just heard about the name and then deciding to listen to this comp which is made up of his best work

In other words, this is still incredible even without the 9/11 "subtext"

without the subtext it's an unplanned mistake with little to no endearing qualities tbh.
good insomnia cure tho, that i can't deny.

The melodies are weirdly haunting, context or no.

yeah i thought it was stunningly powerful before i discovered the context, although it called to mind a tragedy of some kind (no wonder it's fitting)

Yeah jamming this today is quite appropriate. Emailed my Gov teacher the first track on the album, hasn't gotten back to me yet tho
