Thank you! Got to the 1000 pretty fast, considering I've been here for a month or 4-5 now, haha.

Might have to give this a listen. Only really dug Holographic from these dudes.

I dug Holographic and Pitch Black, I still really like them both.

I don't remember Pitch Black very well. I might have just been looking to get one of their albums at the time, and went with Holographic for whatever reason. I know I wasn't super fond of their sound from the albums after the guy from Holographic left, so I kinda didn't bother much with the band much past it.

This album is more similar to HU than it is to any of the two newer albums to be homest. Also, Per's singing really improves this album's vocal side

ugh I guess I actually have to listen to this now.
|

I'll have to check this out

After first listen this sounds like their best album since HU. Especially the addition of Per's vocals every now and then is something that they should keep.

surprised i ended up enjoying this. really didn't like their last 2 efforts, but this is sweet

Too easy and cliche to bag on their last few releases. Unseen Empire is a fantastic album, probably their best IMO.
Yes, I wrote that.
I am skeptical of your taste, so I'm not sure whether I'll enjoy this new offering.
Peace.

Completely forgot I listened to their last album. "Limits to Infinity" made me hopeful, but I felt less enthusiastic about "Cryonic Harvest." Will have to wait till the 14th to find out (also when I'm seeing Sonata Arctica).

Fuck, Adam your review is spot on. Only point of disagreement would be that the 2 long songs stand up to Holographic Universe and Kaleidoscopic God. Really?? Let's not get carried away.

The chorus of Neuromancers is catchy as fuck, but the long, proggy tracks are more of growers and not really immediately catchy

Well, Neuromancers is for one every bit as enjoyable as those songs to me. Technocalyptic Cybergeddon is also genius, but the lack of a transition between the halves leaves something to be desired.

Neohuman and Neuromancers are probably my favorites for now. The Spiral Timeshift is the only dip during the album as far as I'm concerned.

A well-written review. Will give this a spin.

Per finally writes a better solo than Deviate From The Form. Neohuman's godly, dang.

Still need to jam, but it seems these guys have managed to put a great album out. I am really happy about that, because their last two were boring to me.
