Leave Me Alone and Streetwalker make me like this more than Thriller

This is also his best for me. I think out of all his albums, this one flows the best, and has the best consistency of great material.

Don't know. Speed Demon, Liberian Girl, I Just Can't Stop Loving You... Don't need those on a MJ record. Also not even Leave Me Alone is in the same league as Beat It.

Speed Demon is a guilty pleasure. Lyrical content aside, the production and instrumentation are total
ear worms to me.

The vocals on this are damn annoying. The whole badass attitude is pretty dumb anyway.
For me Leave Me Alone and Smooth Criminal are the only really great tracks on this. Has many good ones, but there's something missing all the time (or maybe there's too much there)

Normally if it's pop music I like it's the british new wave & synthpop era from 1980-1984. But MJ is an exception. Bad and Dangerous are great albums and I also like the songs on Bad that were overlooked, "Speed Demon" and "Just Good Friends" (with Stevie Wonder).
This takes me back to the early 90's where I was 4-5 years old and MJ's voice always made me laugh because it sounded strange to me then, but the music was always enjoyable.

Solid TBT review. I prefer this to Thriller because I think it's more consistent. Leave Me Alone is an underappreciated jam. Man in the Mirror and Smooth Criminal are straight up earworms.
