Neg. Review didn't cover the album at all except the album cover.
Finally gave Brand New a chance and I've been steadily listening to them for the past 3 months and I gotta say, it's pretty enjoyable. The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me and Daisy are the best albums in my opinion. Deja Entendu was ok but the highlight was the understandably overplayed "Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't" which is the bees knees.
Every time I play The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me, I end up just repeating "Jesus", "Deguasser", "Limousine", and "You Won't Know" over and over (more specifically "Degausser" and "Limousine").

The closing paragraph is actually pretty great

Have you even read the closing (large) paragraph? Would you have preferred a nice, digestable track-by-track? Nobody wants to hear you talk about Brand New on a Brand New thread.

I mostly stopped reading halfway and skimmed the rest because I felt your review was no longer credible.
If I never heard this band before and was interested, this review would push me away from giving it a chance. Re-reading, the last paragraph summarizes better than I thought it would but I still find it a poor review. Just an opinion.

I don't give a shit about sputnik cred, hence why I just wrote a satirical review aimed at the generic pretentious sputster who would fawn over half the content here if it had serious context behind it. You really thought that one through.
