A lot of Streetlight music isnt really atheism, they didn't start digging into that until their third album then overstayed in it on their fourth effort. Also Skillet had that one album that one time, Comatose or whatever where they didnt be in faith and thats why that album was super awesome.

Skillets latest album Rise at first is like "woot rebellion! Teenage angst! America!" but then just shoves religion in your face in the second half like those creepy guys who walk around downtown going up to people with pamphlets (that could be mistaken for driver's ed manuals upon first glance) asking "HAVE YOU BEEN BORN AGAIN?! HAVE YOU ACCEPTED JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR?! DO YOU SUCK GOD'S DICK? BECAUSE YOU SHOULD!"

Oh gosh, no kidding about Coopers vocals. I couldnt get past two songs on Rise because he sounded like he was in pain. Like every single line he spat was killing him to pull off. It was just too much to handle.

I really loved "What Do We Know" though it was a little more direct with its christian themes the end chorus in that song was just outstanding to me.
