i'd place my money on swans. this is definitely it for me though. this album has such an impressively entrancing atmosphere: i sometimes find myself just sitting there staring off into space listening to this - especially in moments like the end of breathe in. those strings kill me

I'm glad so many people liked this, oftentimes I try to spread the word on an album and it wisps by relatively unnoticed.
This is sheer brilliance on all levels and I'm still appalled that it hasn't gotten more widespread acclaim. This is one of the few sites that even acknowledged its release.
