My college friends and I saw a commercial for her on TeenNick where she said that "I'm not trying to jack anyone's swag" when referring to her music so now we basically just say that all of the time as an inside joke.

If much-hyped debut EP 'Promises' is anything to go by, then Ryn Weaver is set for a bright future in the music industry. Born Erin Wuthrich, the 22 year old Californian not only has a captivating voice, but friends in very high places. Slickly co-produced by the likes of Benny Blanco & Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos, the electro-pop on offer here is well-layered & contains sufficient diversity. The lyrics & hooks could still do with a bit of work, but when your sound feels simultaneously radio-friendly, club-worthy & indie critic baiting, then that's a lot of bases instantly covered. Recommended Tracks: Promises, Octahate & Stay Low.
