This looks interesting. So the reviewer recs's Hour of Penance and some people are comparing these guys to Necrophagist. Kind of confusing since the two are very different bands. Do they sound like HoP at all or na?
I like both so I'll prolly check this regardless, was just hoping for something more like HoP.

hm maybe the drums can be likened to HoP, but for comparisons sake, they're a faster, more technical black dahlia murder with blackened and orchestral bits. if you appreciate guitar playing in melodic dm this riffs hard and there are literally 2 or more guitar solos in every track

Yes, this is pretty much TBDM on steroids, although I hear some similarities to bands like First Fragment and Spawn of Possession too.
These new songs haven't clicked that hard... yet. I bet a full listen with high quality will change that though.
