Musically, this album is fun and well polished. Lots of awesome guitar hooks and the drums sound amazing. I just can't get into the vocals, they destroy the otherwise unique and rockin' musicality.

Severely underwhelmed during the first listen... This has definitely grown on me, though. The second half is funnnnn

Yourgodisinferior:
I think it'd be most fun for you, honestly, to start from Progress and go chronologically (if you happen to be a fan of third-wave ska, start with Halfway Between Here and There, but it's in no way essential. Skip Those Damn Bandits for sure though). Their change from one album to the next is really fun to see, and every album from Progress onward is great.
My personal favorite is The Resignation, so if you want a recommendation of their "best," I'd have to go with that. They still had horns, but that's the album where they were probably least featured, and the sound is really proggy hard-rock in lots of the songs.

TL;DR: go chronologically starting with Progress, but The Resignation is their best.

cfbassist, it's because the CD didn't come with a damn lyrics sheet! I was super excited to read along on my first listen because the lyrics are always great, but it's sometimes hard for me to understand him...anyway, I found them here, though I think there are several inaccuracies:

I initially thought that as well, but it's really grown on me my last few listens. Same thing with G2G which i originally thought was one of the weaker tracks, but now I really enjoy.
