I still like it but it is their weakest opener.

Ok I changed up the summary and last paragraph a bit. Damn, I really liked how it was when my lyrics were wrong lol

the bridge of we owe this to ourselves is awesome though
@tommy, I'll second Mongi. Lots of discussion about where it fits in their discog / how it functions as an album closer, as well as comparisons to their old stuff, but there's a decent amount of comments about musical/lyrical analysis

cool will prob spin tonight will manage me expectations cos even cities grew off a little like UCC is still best song ever but could do without 3-4 tracks on there

Eh, Cities is prob my favorite album ever and I don't think it's flawless at all. Hello Alone and There Is No... could probably be cut from the album without hurting its quality, even though I do like the latter.
And yeah, that's a good idea. I was slightly disappointed when I first listened since I was expecting something a little more climactic, but on its own it's pretty good.

There needs to be a "not" in front of "possess the epic qualities of *Fin..." towards the end of the review.
Very well-done otherwise, though. After around 10 listens so far, I think I agree with that rating.
@Green, Toondude, and Skoopy, you guys are dead wrong. We Owe This To Ourselves kicks major ass. The chorus ain't their best,
but the verses absolutely slay and the bridge is one of the best musical passages they have ever written, period. Top 10 at least.

music is subjective hey everyone can get along :D
|
| |
lol very true the quality of any art is certainly determined by the eye (or ear) of the beholder...just hate seeing a good song go unappreciated!

I never said it was bad, I just said it was weak. Two totally different things.
