In my humble opinion this album is better than frame and canvas. Paradox1216 you should listen to age of octeen very overlooked album

This is better than it has any right to be. Braid is lionized for their influence (and rightly so), but they've always been a pretty flawed band. Aside from some sloppy lyrics and weird production choices, I think this thing will stick in my rotation quite a while.

i actually really appreciated this album. my problem with it is my problem with a lot of albums: the first few songs overshadow the rest of the album. "Bang" had an urgency that sucked me into the band in the first place and "East End Hollows" sounds like a Death Cab For Cutie song. while i enjoyed No Coast, nothing else is really memorable for me.

This is such a good album, I'm tempted to bump it to a 4.5, but I have Frame & Canvas at that and I dunno if this is quite as good. Either way one of the best albums I've heard this year.

Octeen is really good yeah. I've never checked out their debut but I think I probably will soon, been on

a big Braid/Bob Nanna kick recently.

East End Hollows rules. I'm pretty much a fan of every track on this, though Doing Yourself In is probably my least favorite.

Woah, woah, woah, when the fuck did these guys get back together? And a new album? Wow I'm late to the party but hell yes, I'm going to have to seek this out immediately.
