I bought it when I was a kid, they became my favorite band while everyone else talked about slipknot and linkin park.

definitely a raw record, and the production helped out the darker moments. glad they followed up with that til vena sera.

The version of the clincher they released on the jars single release has always been my favorite of mine. A little electronic and less distortion but the emotion is still there.

Yeah I liked the moodiness and twanginess of that acoustic version too. I appreciate that they consolidated the bonus tracks into a rarities collection, I felt that was long overdue. Nice to have it all in one place because their b-sides are some of the best in the business. Until You’re Reformed is one of my faves for whatever reason.

Yeah, Until You're Reformed is amazing. Is that a WWN B-side?

12 Bloody Spies was a great b sides album — so was Deftones’ B Sides and Rarities at that.

"Part of the reason I didn't like it was because I didn't realize the rip of it that I had was trash garbage"

It may not be the rip itself but the version you downloaded. Point #1 had a silent remaster and all copies of the original release (which had a rawer sound) were replaced by the remastered version which sounds fuller and louder. The video version of "Mia" with the distorted guitar on the second bridge is actually from the original release which is different than, say, the version from the iTunes library or the one from the band's YouTube page. Just a little nugget I discovered not long ago after following them for years (since the release of WWN, basically).

Deftones suck when it comes to releasing their actual b-sides. Teething got fucked, boys republic wasn’t on the 20th anniversary of white pony
