Awesome work Adam! I get what you mean in that his album sounds dated, and I agree that that's part of the reason why it works so well

Great review. Is that pitchfork stream still the only way to jam this?

I guess I really just haven't been paying attention but can somebody please explain "the wave" to me?

I guess I really just haven't been paying attention but can somebody please explain "the wave" to me?

It basically explains that Defeater, La Dispute, Make Do and Mend, Touche Amore, Pianos Become the Teeth, Tigers Jaw, Title Fight, Balance and Composure, Former Thieves, Into It. Over It. and several other bands who were all spread out across the US geographically were all friends and they collectively formed this big national network by touring together and supporting each other. This big connection that they all had was akin to a "wave" because they all came to prominence together.

I think they all had their moments. Touche, Pianos and Evan Weiss still keep it top notch, though.

To anybody that wanted to know, there's a proper FLAC rip on what.cd. Got it on my Dropbox if anyone wants it

Ahhh, okay. Thanks dimsim. I always thought it was reference to a group of bands that were stylistically similar or something. That clear things up.
