Double post....

This album is pretty cool, but nothing that hasn't been done before. Solid all around, just nothing that really stands out.

The vocals stood out to me, but I'm sure you've heard countless albums with similar vocals. And while the guitar work isn't anything new by any means, still thought it was really strong.

Hawks, are you into the Nidrosian scene? This touches on a few of those bands, but with more creepy atmospherics.

Just seeing this.

Haha yeah man. Judio hosted a game where users got assigned a random album that didn't have any reviews yet to be listened to and reviewed

I like the murky production as well, but I still see your point also

well he doesn't listen to BM so that could be excused on the basis of just lack of experience probably

I'm giving it a shot now and I think it sounds pretty murky but of course a band like Darkthrone makes it look like Taylor Swift

i do listen to plenty of stuff with clean production so maybe that's it

actually i think i am starting to get what you mean, like Funereal Presence's songs aren't so much wall of sound, and the instruments are easier to pick out despite that it sounds fairly low quality

as to darkthrone, ive only heard blaze in the northern sky but i thought it was one of the more lo fi sounding BM records I'd heard

ah yes this album m/ hard

But yeah, as Game said , I don't listen to hardly any BM, so I didn't really know almost all BM albums had production like this. Hence my picking on it in the review

Love this and the new Occultation, but a new Neggy Plane would be very welcome.
