concerning the television/70s thing: honestly the strokes sound like television but they don't write songs like they do. especially not here; marquee moon sounds far, far darker than this. i mean they're probably about the same sort of things but marquee moon tries to be a serious, *eerie* work whereas this just flat out is songs about being cool guys in suits. and we all love bands that are reminiscent of older bands on this site so who cares
also, i wish less people thought first impressions sucked.
