Yeah, that and Saga City are probably the highlights here. Baretto’s Michael Jackson Metal was a cool take on the genre.

Still the best album this band has ever done and probably will ever do. Nowadays the band sounds like pretty standard djent-core, but they really did something special on this one.

Just my yearly return to say that "Samsara" is the perfect ending to this album. What a wild ride.

Definitely agree. It's too bad Baretto was a diva. Dude complimented their music so well.

Now they have generic metalcore singer number 246 as their vocalist

The dude has chops and is an incredible vocalist (might be a better lyricist that Chris) but he's not particularly unique.

It’s not a big deal but it is cause it changes the whole sound tapestry

I saw them live a few momths ago supporting Leprous, and Andy is a beast, absolutely pitch perfect.

He might not be that unique (although I think his high screams are insanely good) but he is super good live. Would love them to remix / remaster this record. The idea is good but the execution is just meh.

The production on this just sucks so much man it definitely hinders my enjoyment to a substantial degree. My actual enjoyment drops to 3.5 maybe even 3 because of it. But the songs really do slap so I don't want to lower my rating.
As far as the vocalists go, Andy is a stronger vocalist overall but I find most of his vocal writing to be extremely mid. I miss Chris and his unique delivery. Can't get much better than I, The Creator as far as vocals go in this genre.

“The idea is good but the execution is just meh”
Ironically, this is probably also still the best executed record in Monuments’ discog.
