New single and Lavos have me so excited for the new album. Sounds like the band has a fire under their ass.

Still waiting for Browne to write something as remotely good as his work on Silent Words

I would definitely recommend checking out any of these if you think Browne has fallen off:

"The Watch"

"I, the Destroyer"

"Jinn"

"Jukai"

Watching him play is pretty wild but man does he have such a powerful sound.

this album is just one baller syncopated ride after another and the new shit isn't at all. so much less rhythmically interesting

Origin of Escape has one of the best grooves I’ve ever heard

The new single is pretty damn good. Hopefully the new album gets back to this album’s quality

Andy’s singing is awesome in makari but I agree that they don’t really fit here. Def rec makari tho

I'm glad the new album doesn't seem to just be about the grooves. While songs like Jinn and Origins of Escape are cool, the reason they were elevated in my book was because of the vocals. So the fact that they're working in some different styles while maintaining a strong vocal performance is a win for me.
