Definitely not a fan of this production

Honestly prefer this to EoS production. I felt it sounded a bit hollow comparatively. That being said, I would NOT want multiple albums that have this sound. Just think it suits the presented material.

"Honestly prefer this to EoS production."

I may agree with you this time! The dry drum sound, the snare especially, is just a pleasure to my ears. And overall I really like this "sludge pop" sound though it can get tiresome.

Does anybody know if any vinyl press uses a dedicated master? Because I used to despise this record's production at first but then I made a full turn once I started listening to a vinyl rip. Maybe it is simply more dynamic for real?

EoS is a more improved version of this overall for me.

Minus the opener, High Road and Diamond in the Witch House I never come back to this.

The different writting approach and lyrical themes make me think that this and EoS have nothing to do with each other.

Don't see much relation on EoS to this either, honestly...this has prog rock nature, far different from the metal approach from EoS.

"Minus the opener, High Road and Diamond in the Witch House I never come back to this." Chimes at Midnight though...

Ember is probably #3 for me on here, but I could understand some being put off by that hook

"That (Chimes at midnight) one and Asleep in The Deep are incredible" yap. Big 2. BigPleb is kinda missing out this time.

Everything after Blood Montain is ok stuff, nothing to relisten to except a couple of tracks each album.
