sure there are moments/riffs on this one that are of quality but overall this album is just a snooze. I get that musicians come to a point where they want to trade wild experimentation and unconventional song structures with a "back to basics" approach. I really get it. I just generally tend to get a bit disappointed with the end results when it happens most of the time.

Agreed. All three albums have great openers and at least one decent song further along in the tracklist, but for the most part lack complexity and nuance. I like this one more than EoS or The Hunter
