"I'm curious: how many of you who love this version listened to Meshuggah prior to obZen's release?"



was into them just after '02 Nothing came out



complaining about Obsidian being extended is kind of moot and it seems like you're sort of grasping at straws with that one. also if anything slowing down Nebulous (which was DEFINITELY the right decision) and extending obsidian adds even more mystery to the album and songs, which you praise earlier.



I don't know I find the the brilliance of every song totally overshadows the production, whether I'm listening to this or the original it doesn't matter to me because I could give two fucks about production unless it's recorded in a garage or something terrible. if the production fits the music, it's fine for me. the songs speak for themselves and I find having 2 versions of Nothing offers 2 unique listening experiences, which is a good thing. when I'm listening to this one I feel like it's the album they wanted to release.
