It'll be the same boring crap most likely. They COULD expand their sound with more keyboards and atmosphere in order to actually make use of Alissa's clean voice, but I doubt they will. They need to take a page from bands like Blind Guardian that don't use horribly basic structuring, and just make their songs less horribly basic.

This Alissa chick is brutal (not the good kind). Her voice is way too high pitch and shrill.

I don't know. I actually liked this and I don't usually like this band.

It's a fairly inoffensive record so I can understand that. I used to fanboy Angela hard when I was younger though, so by now I'm pretty much sick of them.

Not a bad record by any means. I'm glad this is more riff oriented and heavier rather than just a ton of leads and solos like the last few.

There's still many problems with this, but it's a step in the right direction IMO.

Maybe melodeath just isn't my thing, but I'll see what I think of this band sometime.

Or just jam the new Insomnium. Or better yet, old Insomnium. Whatever.

Is this any different from khaos legions that had some jams and probably a solid 3

Khaos legions was a disjointed mess 2/5. This is slightly better, though still painfully by-the-books.

It had a lot of songs that had good main riffs but then terrible, awkwardly transitioned choruses with

weak melodies, and then a lot of songs with lame lead riffs and great choruses and melodies. It was

bad. It was like they forgot how to put songs together.

This album is them putting songs together but just forgetting to do anything interesting at all.
