Ha, I'm one of the few that thoroughly enjoyed Rekreatur.

I'm going to have to correct my review slightly. I've found that the one true problem with this album is in fact inconsistency. All of the songs are good, but the second half of the album is definitely a notch below the first. I can't really justify a 4.5.

HA! Freiflung and Heavy Chill are among the best tracks here, what are you smoking mate. It's track 9, 10 and 11 that are a little bit below the rest. If only that stupid kid didn't appear on Apokalypse, what was the point of that?

And then you have the closing instrumental track. It's not bad at all, but definitely the weakest instrumental to date. There's just not a whole lot of memorable stuff happening and I have no idea why they didn't use any flutes or other folky instruments at all.

Funny. I thought Freiflung was by far the worst track. And yeah, those kid "vocals" on Apokalypse are strange but at least they don't last very long.

I thought the final instrumental was pretty good actually. Not their best, but definitely enjoyable.

I just really love that melodic part in Freiflung that's between the clean vocal part and the chorus. That, together with that incredible flute part at the end of Uns'rer Flöten Klang, are probably my favorite bits of the album.

I need to check this! What's the track that Robert speaks English in?

The Unknown Episode, which is actually my favorite song on the album. The middle instrumental portion

of the song from 2:40-4:00 is on par with Mana for me as the best instrumentation the band has ever

done.

After listening to this nonstop the past couple of days, this is easily their second best album.

Good to know that the song itself is good. I feared that it might be a gimmick to lift a sub-par song or something.

Sagas is pretty much the best thing ever and Turis Fratyr is really good too. Never jammed Rekreature, but I gotta hear this.

I liked it. Doesn't come near Sagas but it's still incredibly fun. Weird for black metal-influenced music to make me wanna both dance and storm the battlements of my enemies.

This is amazing. Not quite on Sagas level, but still really great stuff and will probably be in my top 5 at the end of the year tbh.

This one has a different feel though. Seems a little more fun and upbeat than anything else they've done.
