You might actually enjoy the solo stuff more, especially Avalanche and Hospital Music. I've been told MG is the next best thing to Elliot Smith, although I have yet to start on his discog. Any rec's for him?

Matt Good is far better than Elliot Smith. Way more diverse, and doesn't sing the same on every fuckin' song.

will check out bro, thx for the recs. For ES i'd say it depends on what you're looking for. i've only heard Either/Or and XO in their entirety but he got a more full band sound later. you really can't go wrong with either, but I'm tempted to rec XO first.
