Does Sublime sound all that much like No Doubt? No. But both are still ska.

Hawthorne Heights compared to Good Charlotte? It's like asking what's worse, eating a bowl of chocolate laxatives mixed with broken glass while drinking a steaming pot of black coffee, or trying to stop a chainsaw with your crotch.

The point is that you don't have to sound exactly like all the other bands in a genre to qualify for it. I had hoped that would be a pretty obvious analogy.

Don't worry, friends. Like a sentinel, I am ever-vigilant against the onslaught of online retardation.

Where ever there is stupidity, I'll be there.

Where ever there is caps lock abuse, I'll be there.

Where ever there is an over-reacting fanboy, I'll be there.

Where ever there is pwning, I'll be there causing it.

I feel like there should be a Three Amigos salute right about now.

I recently discovered that at least one of the members of HH is from a town less than five minutes from me. Which is crazy, because it's a really small town, we never have anyone famous (or infamous, in this case) from around here.

I never did like that town, it's full of smelly fat people, but I never suspected they were capable of producing something that terrible. I can feel my brain cells committing suicide everytime I hear "Saying Sorry."

I send my sympathies. Having to be anywhere near the origin of this tumor of a band would be a burden on anyone's soul.

Insanepunkguy, I'm not flaming you for liking this band. I'm just saying that I really, really despise them. You can like them if you want, I'm reasonably sure I never said anything personally against you in my posts.
It's all opinions, dude.
Except Steerpike. His word is law.
I *heart* Steerpike

First album wasn't too bad, they were better when they were called dayinthelife.

This album however sucks.

Some places carry their A Day In The Life EP, but please, go buy something else. I hear Radiohead's coming out with a new album this year! This Message Edited On 04.17.06

Hey
i understand where you are coming from, i love metal and i love punk and emo, people think that this is just terrible. i mean this band is worth it just for the lyrics. i love being able to relate to the lyrics in a song unlike metal songs. but you also hav eto give every metal band a tip off because the overall instrumentation of metal bands is obiously 5 or 6 time better. this is not nearly as good as their first album because it is not as complex and more effects are used. the only problem overall i have with HH is there live show. which is an absoloute horror show. they slaughter all there songs while singing and playin only parts they feel are necisary. Not a bad reveiw but it is hard because there is not much to say about the songs they are too simple

not bad

im not going to put down the band, because i hate it when people do that, but i noticed in your review that you said that people hate Hawthorne Heights because its "a cool thing to do" and i am here to prove you wrong, i loved ohio is for lovers when i first heard it, but then my brother bought the cd and upon my first listen i wanted to seriously shatter the cd because i hated it that much, and then Ohio is for lovers lost its appeal, also, i saw their 7th avenue drop on fuse and i absolutely hated it, i only watched it to see if they had improved, and in my opinion, they did not. anyway, nice review.

This wasn't a very good review. People who don't listen to them are gonna think theyre not that good. I haven't heard too many songs from their new album besides the gay "Saying Sorry" and the amazing song "Pens and Needles". Their first album was pretty good but hopefully this album will have better instrumentals and mabey the lead singer will work on his voice. It kinda gets annoying after a while. I thought the first album was awesome, but hopefully this one will be better.

Most people won't even give this amazing band a chance just because they ARE emo. Well, lighten up, take Thursday out of your cd player, drive your butt up to the music store and BUY THIS! If you're a fan of ANY type of hardcore punk/emo/screamo, then you'll love this. C'mon, quit being a baby and try it for f**k's sake.
