I was hoping this would be on par with FT but from the looks of things I might be let down. Fingers crossed...

I'm digging this album. It's not without it's faults - sometimes they go overboard with the quirkiness and jamming (e.g The entire second half of The Brahmatron Song bring another wise great song down) but overall the good far outweighs the bad. Seeds of Gold in particular is amazing and possibly the best song they've done.

it just happens to be a variation of opinion that I don't appreciate the overboard quirkiness

itunes is by far the shittiest ipod management software, ironically

Yeah, i can definitely see how this album rubs people the wrong way in that regard. There's enough grounded songwriting and hooks to counter the quirkiness for me.

I know a lot of people could see the last song and Beckon Fire as filler but i actually really like them.

Also, who is the female singer on this? Her voice is great.

From the few songs I've heard so far, it's like they expanded on all of the boring parts of their last album.

This doesn't really sound like any parts of their last album though
