The Contortionist, Vildhjarta, and a host of other deathcore bands are quite forward thinking tho

The saw is the law is one of the best off the album, otherwise it's the same old shit we hear from 693484958other deathcore bands.

Listen to Phil Bozeman's featured vox on Tony Danza and listen to his vox on this.
What the fuck are you doing, Phil.

Can't say in good conscience that Vildhjarta is deathcore.

Vildhjarta being anywhere near Deathcore makes for a weird discussion. I mean in a way you know they might appeal to the lots of people in the deathcore community just as much as any deathcore band. But i can't call them deathcore at all. Prog metal, djent, ambient, tech/modern metal. Stuff like that seems more accurate, and that's the kind of stuff deathcore/djent folks go for these days as well.

I don't see them as deathcore at all.

Hopefully their next release'll have more singing, it'll separate them from the deathcore genre even more and it worked really well when they did it in that one song

Yep I listened to this all the way through a few times and I love it. Lyrics are so ehh tho. I'm surprised how varied it is.

I went into the album expecting very little, but the beginning of Worship The Digital Age made me forget who I was listening to. It's nice to see how far they've come as far as songwriting ability goes.

This has good parts but it's not consistently good like the last album. Also don't get why there are so many layers on the vocals. Phill is more than capable.
