I know I'll sound lame, but if there's a band that deserves your purchase for their hard work and well thought out music, it's this band and this release.
My first listen was a 3.5, but it's quickly going up. A definite 4.5 for sure. Tempted to 5 it, but even though it is dark and heavy in a unique way, I was looking for one more "Burning Mirror" track to 5 it.
I find something new with every listen, it's great. You can tell Jerry even worked on his vocals, in the sense that there isn't too much of his raspy voice throughout the album. It's selective and fits.
Even if this isn't your cup of tea, I can't believe some can't enjoy the musicianship and great writing these guys put out. The story, the guitar, bass, drums...the blues, solos of all sorts, jams, the darkness, the beauty...it's awesome!
