This album is pretty great but the review here is rather bad. Lol.

"Death metal yada yada the usual shpiel. A sentence about how it’s inconsistent, a sentence about how it’s ruined by breakdowns nowadays, a sentence about how the old school style was and always will be better. Despite their incredible pretense, one of them is right. You know which one it is? It’s the last one. Because it’s always right. Screw hyperbole, there isn’t a single death release in the last 10 years that comes even a single dickery close to how good the releases of the decade before it were. This rule holds true so often, I invented a word to describe it.

Dickery."

Damn, this does need another review. This is horribly rushed and it's like you had the album for a day and didn't give it any time to sink in.

I should considering NO ONE on this site listens to anything Thomas Gabriel related besides this.

I would advise the Hellhammer comp that was release in 2008 (anyone worth their weight in dm/ bm/ thrash SHOULD give that a go) and the first three Celtic Frost albums plus their last album. All essential listening!

I mean, people who get into Triptykon are usually CF fans and just want more Gabe-age. not saying you won't dig, you def will, I'm just surprised you haven't jammed em yet.

I got into early Celtic Frost about six or seven years ago, so I was naturally a fan of Gabriel's music way before Triptykon was even an idea. Not heard much of Hellhammer to be fair but I can imagine it's pretty classic material.

What I should have said was I don't think people listen to them enough.

In my days of nu-metal (97-99 hahaha) I stumbled upon Into the Pandemonium and never looked back.
