I was thinking... These guys could have been a good Christian band if they would have stay that way, but of course, Christian people find it very hard to write good songs.

Anyway, just jammed this and found it a bit better only that The Damned ruins the whole fucking thing for me though.

I thought the Damned was a pretty good song.

And Chevelle was a Christian band for a while I think. It was probably when Joe got the boot that they decided to fuck the whole Christian thing. Now they call themselves "recovering Catholics" which I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

I'm pretty sure the band members were religious, but the band was never a religious band - they made it pretty clear in interviews they want to leave religion out of their music. They only got labelled as a Christian band by accident cause they (unknowingly) signed to a Christian label for Point #1

Kind of a ridiculous situation

The same thing happened with Evanescence. Apparently the label they signed onto for Fallen was the same for Creed :P

I'm surprised not many people seem to be raving about how good Wonder What's Next was. I hear a lot of Vena Sera and This Type Of Thinking are the favorties from what people are saying. WWN is fucking spectacular aside from the one atrocious acoustic song at the end of the album. That song is cringe worthy but the rest of the album is fantastic. This album seems to return a little bit of that heavier style WWN had but have some industrial and other influences used. I thought the albums inbetween WWN and this were a lot softer and less agressive with some slower paced riffs. Or maybe that's just my thoughts...

Are you kidding me, Vena Sera was practically a complete angst-trip from beginning to end.
