When i heard this album for the first time i was kind of disapointed because i was expecting more of the formula which made the first album so great, so i didn't listen to it again until recently. So i started listening to it again a few weeks ago and it has grown on me very quickly. It's obviously a much more easy-going album that the S/T, but has some great tracks which really give it some extra "depth" and i dont think there is one track on the entire album which i really dislike. after listening to the self titled repeatedly for months, i definitely had to adjust to this. at first i stuck to the first release but now id have to agree that this is their best album.
and after hearing crisis, i dont think they'll ever top it.

alright, second album in my alexisonfire reviewing rampage XD I'll admit right away that this is my favorite AOF album. I love the ambience and the intensity...fortunately they manage to bring these elements out in their live act as well! the songs everyone seems to love (sharks&danger, accidents, no transitory etc.) in my opinion, are great...but no better than any other song on the album. Watch Out is just a completely solid album to me. songs like "that girl possessed" and "hey, its yur funeral mama" reincarnate the intensity brought out in their first album. "it was fear of myself.." and "side walk when she walks" can stretch your mind out over landscapes of ambience. i get nothing but good feelings from listening to this album. on the larger music scale this might not be the greatest album ever created, but its still pretty epic :D
as a side note i think the song Accidents is a little over rated...i like it for sure, but there are other equally great songs on this album.

^ Everything you said is perfect.
The ambience of this record is really what sealed it for me.

This album imo is their best. I listened to this album before the self-titled and I thought that the self-titled was ok but it didn't have the maturity of Watch Out at all. The s/t was badly mixed in my opinion, though I do like some of the songs on the album. I also think George's and Dallas's vocals are way better on this album because you can hear the lack of control they have over their voices in the s/t and in this album they are both so crisp and clear. This is an amazing band and I love their lyrics.

Loved this album. Most songs weren't what I expected and some contained relatively generic parts but instead of just ripping them out haphazardly they found new and interesting ways to get there if you understand me. Good release and it was a very pleasant surprise

A significant step up from their debut, this album has a better balance of screaming vs singing, as well as some nice tempo changes. There’s some strong songs that expand their songwriting too, but there is also a fair bit of filler. Fave Tracks: Accidents, Happiness by the Kilowatt & No Transitory.
