I'd say my Top 5 goes
Bikeage
Suburban Home
Hope
Myage
Catalina
|
| |
myage is like the best song ever tbh
|
| |
not as good as hope
|
| |
hope is a banger too but myage is one of my favorite punk songs damn ive played that one over and over ∞
|
| |
went through a phase where i played the descendents like everyday, i don't want to grow up is so underrated

Myage has one of the best basslines ever
Then again so does Bikeage
|
| |
best bassing yeah
|
| |
tony's a killer player but surprisingly a lot of the basslines were written by the other members, like bill wrote myage with a bass he found in the trash
|
| |
damn i need to see filmage

|

Yeah
|

so i've started listening to ALL and realised Stephen's guitar playing is freaking crazy. the dude claims to know nothing about theory but he plays jumprope with all these weirdass chords and mixed tonalities. definitely fits Tim McIlrath's description of the dude as a "guitar player's guitar player".
|
| |
yeah his guitar playing rules
|
| |
legendary

I just noticed how the last 5 tracks sorta form a story arc
Guy likes girl, guy tells girl, girl dumps guy for another guy, girl (presumably dumped by Guy #2) goes on a downward spiral, girl finally kills herself
Dunno if that was intended or not but I think it's pretty interesting
