Really? You heard them between Britney Spears and Black Eyed Peas on KISS FM? Holy fuck, I'm not trying to act like La Dispute is this band no one's heard of... but if you'd like to tell me how they are comparable to top 40 pop, it would be pretty interesting to read.

Oh, no doubt, I got no disagreement with that. I almost regret the "radio" comment but I wasn't sure how else to get my point across. I'm just trying to say that when I hear a "standard" pop song/country song about love, I find it shallow, that's all. And yeah, exceptions to the rule and all that jazz, I'm just trying to use a generality for relation's sake.

There's more than one way to be shallow, y'know.

Is it just me or does anyone else like the more controlled and focused aspect of this album? 'Objects in Space' is pretty fucking cool. I have not figured out why people who think of this band as 'trendy' will be even 'trendier' to hate on them.

Fantastic Review. Not a big fan of this myself personally, haven't heard the entire thing but I found the first half to be pretty bland for the most part.
