Don't like the band minus this so will probably check the new one of it's a continuation of the sound found here.

It sounds pretty generic to me personally but vocally it's more aggressive than this so I dunno

I'mma hold out till release but I'm hoping I lean more in the GreyShadow direction, I'm coming into this with AOTY expectations but I'm getting the vibe I should cool my jets

I don't want to say that You Ascendant is a great song but rather a great experience. the climax reminds me of the end of You and I In Unison.

I've never been the biggest fan of Objects In Space but You Ascendant is kinda Objects In Space done correctly.

Y'all can say what you will about this album but it at least added some new wrinkles to their sound. The new one is the band completely on autopilot and the only 'new' thing is Jordan Dreyer talking way faster than usual on a couple tracks like a fucking mumble rapper

This adds new wrinkles for sure, I just happen to think it’s super boring and uninspired lol. I may be wrong but idk this just does nothing for me and I love this band.

New album is quite a bit better than this but they’ll never top their first two albums. I hate the production/mixing and I wish there were some more bangers and memorable riffs but it’s a return to form in many ways. Jordan sounds less bored than he did on RotH for the most part. The last song was pretty anticlimactic though, especially from the band that made TLLC and King Park.

relistening to it i like it a lot more jordan's performance is what elevates it above this

View from our bedroom window, footsteps at the pond, and there you are (hiding place) is a great stretch of songs and some of the best since Wildlife. Just wish the mixing was better.
