I find it pretty fuckin enjoyable at face-value, which is a 4 for me,(a 3.5 for me counts as 'slightly above average')

Coming of Age is pretty mediocre for a lead single. It starts off decently but then it ruins its momentum with its insipid chorus

^Ehh, I don't know about THAT, it's good, but the main reason I love this and Torches in the first place is their signature sound, which is just so interesting and fun to listen to, the main reason I love this is because it still contains that distinctive FTP flavor which I loved in their debut,

I found this album terribly boring overall. I guess i'm more of a fan of the more straightforward sounding Torches.
Good review though. Pos'd

Side story: I first received Torches as a birthday gift and listened to it once. I couldn't stand it and didn't listen to it again for a year. The next time I listened to it, I fell in love. Foster the People, I have realized, is one of those bands you have to "get weird" for.
Btw, I'm looking forward to reading the counter Baron.

Supermodel > Torches.
Not hating on Torches. That album is wonderful.
But Supermodel is an absolute monstrosity.

Not a fan of the album. Review reads a bit too casual
