"seems like they're trying too hard to put in as much variety as possible and it's overwhelming."
As if Fortress (so good PtH) and DEP weren't overwhelming, lol.

This album is excellent because it's super catchy, easy to listen, full of memorable riffs and choruses but has a shitload of "what the fuck" moments.

The "what the fuck" moments are the best parts of the moment, like when those trumpets come out of nowhere in the title track.
|
| |
maybe "overwhelming" was the wrong word idk it's just like settle down guys not every song has to be as batshit insane as the last

Idk, I find this more enjoyable than Protest The Hero :/. It's cool stuff, I like how catchy it is whilst being technically impressive.

I think something like psyopus is too crazy cuz there's no melody or rhythm a lot of the time. this to me strikes a perfect balance.

Where the things have no colour is more simple and just as good as the rest of the album.

this is all over the fucking place
love it

I'm liking this more and more, probably one of my favourite albums of the year.
And I'd say this is waaaay more technical than PtH too. That band seems to have the same style of playing and licks in all their songs these days. Destrage is almost at a Sikth-like level with their instruments. Like the drummer is a fucking beast seriously

But...but..this isn't INDUSTRIAL METAL?! I think you're more shocked over the fact that we can rave over something together haha. Also, there hasn't been much good industrial metal this year at all. Either that, or I just haven't been paying attention enough.

Haha I think you might be right man. Haven't seen this bitch in the longest time and all of a sudden we agree on an album! Ahhhh feels good!
And dude has there been a good industrial metal album at all in the past decade?!

Haha I think you might be right man. Haven't seen this bitch in the longest time and all of a sudden we agree on an album! Ahhhh feels good! I know right? I was ready to come in all guns blazing, awaiting for the eventual 2 you were supposed to give this, and now you like this, a lot? What is this, I can't even describe, but feels good yea.
From industrial metal, the new My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and Deathstars are cool, but those are the only ones I've really liked from this year, and you'd probably like neither hahahaha.
