yea BDH is cool but it’s nowhere near Nekropsalms for me. And it’s shame you don’t like this Demon, it took a long time for this to really click with me so I’m hopeful this will find you again one day

This album is special in its own odd ways. Not a fan of BDH myself for the same reasons as Gyro, but this has something extra. That alien vibe that keeps it interesting.

I always thought BDH and Nekropsalms were just really similar music/production wise just like the quality of the songs on them and the fact that i liked Nekropsalms a bit more was because that's the first album i heard from them and when i fell in love with the band. But time to relisten then i guess

Gotcha, that's fair. Lucky for me I do enjoy those vibes!

2014 wasn't very good. Was it for you?

Kiasmos was cool, so were Gidge, Sea Oleena and Lantlos. And my darlings Indigo Jam Unit of course. But nothing groundbreaking.

2011 and 2015 were really good apparently, according to my decade list. And 16.

In 2014 and in a total different genre you have a super release (5!) from Every Time I Die - From Parts Uknown, wake up dudes!

From this genre (psych OSDM), Horrendous - Ecdysis was also a really sweet release!

You also have some of the most suffocating releases I've ever listened:

Lord Mantis - Death Mask

Thou - Heathen

Inter Arma - The Carven

Plebeian Grandstand - Lowgazers

Also:

Full of Hell and Merzbow for noisy stuff

Slugdge - Gastronomicon for slug DM

Behemoth - The Satanist

I've rated a shockingly low amount of 2014 albums, probably part of my lull...

Old Man Gloom, Fen, Vi Som Alaskarde, Howls of Ebb, Revocation, Dog Fashion Disco & Slugdge appear to be my favourties. All 4s (lol).

The new Jordablod album is what Morbus Chron would sound like, if they continued and got more controlled/matured in the process.
